Strength, stability, and balance—all in one class.
Our small group Pilates classes are welcoming, friendly, and designed for women (and sometimes men) of all fitness levels.
Pilates can help you:
- Build core strength
- Improve posture and flexibility
- Increase body awareness and strength
- Move with ease and confidence
It’s more than exercise—it’s time set aside just for you.
At Alara Women’s Health, our Clinical Pilates classes in Tuggerah are designed to help you move well, feel stronger, and build confidence in your body.
Unlike large fitness studios or gyms, our classes are small, supportive and guided by health professionals, allowing us to focus on the quality of your movement and provide individualised attention.
What is Clinical Pilates?
Clinical Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on strength, stability, posture, breathing and controlled movement. It uses a combination of mat-based exercises and specialised Pilates equipment to help improve the way your body moves and functions.
Our classes are particularly helpful for people who:
- Are new to exercise or returning after a long break
- Are recovering from injury or managing ongoing pain
- Want to improve posture and core strength
- Are looking for a safe, supportive environment to move
- Want to build strength and confidence in their body
The focus is not on intensity or competition, but on moving well and building strength in a sustainable way.
Small Classes, Individual Attention
We keep our classes intentionally small, with only 4–6 participants per session. This allows our practitioners to provide guidance, corrections, and support so you can perform each movement safely and effectively.
The environment is warm, friendly and encouraging, and many of our clients enjoy the sense of community that develops in our classes.
Getting Started
Before joining a class, we ask all new clients to complete:
- A fitness screening
This helps us understand your health history, goals and any injuries or conditions that may need to be considered. - A private 1-hour introductory session
During this session we will teach you the foundations of Pilates movement and breathing, introduce the equipment, and ensure you feel confident before joining a group class.
This step helps you get the most benefit from your classes and ensures exercises can be tailored to suit your body.
Who Are These Classes For?
Our Clinical Pilates classes are suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. Many of our clients are:
- New to movement or exercise
- Returning after injury
- Looking to improve posture or core stability
- Wanting a gentle but effective way to strengthen their body
- Seeking a welcoming environment to move and connect
